Why do you have rental home standards?

We ensure that every property we bring on to our rental program meets certain standards to be clean, safe, and well-maintained. This ensures that our rentals attract high quality tenants, minimize vacancies, and comply with all legal requirements.

Interior Standards

  • Thorough professional cleaning of the entire unit
  • Wall and ceiling paint should be in good condition, or freshly painted if needed (neutral colors preferred)
  • All flooring in good condition and clean, or replaced if necessary
  • Kitchen and bathrooms spotless (no stains or grime), and all fixtures should be well maintained and/or updated
  • All appliances cleaned and in good working order
  • Blinds, window coverings, and fixtures clean and functional, no broken pieces
  • Smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors must be tested and current, or installed if not currently present

Exterior Standards

  • Fresh, clean landscaping (mowed, trimmed, no weeds)
  • Exterior paint in good condition (no peeling or fading)
  • Garage broom-swept and free of debris/personal items
  • All windows and doors open, close, and lock as intended
  • All exterior lights working
